Thrive on 2 & 5

2 and 5 logo

Did you know that eating two serves of fruit and five serves of vegetables a day can help you thrive? Yet in the City of Monash, only 4% of adults meet the dietary guidelines for fruit and vegetables!

The Fresh Monash Thrive on 2 & 5 campaign promotes the available sources of fresh fruit and vegetables in Monash. We all know that we can buy fruit and vegetables from supermarkets or the nearest green grocer, but have you looked at the array of vegetables available at the Asian grocer? Sampled seasonal fruit from one of our neighbourhood farmers' markets? Or considered joining a community garden to try growing your own?

To learn more about healthy eating and caring for our local food system, book a place at one of our Thrive on 2 & 5 workshops.

The sessions will include presentations from MonashLink and Monash Council's Health Promotion teams, MonashLink's Nutrition Department and Monash Council's Sustainability Team, explaining how your food choices can help make you – and our food system – as healthy as possible.
