International Genealogical Index
This microfiche index is compiled by the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
It is very useful to family historians, as it lists christenings and marriages in the
UK and Ireland from 1500 to 1875 (approx).
It is arranged by county, alphabetical order of surnames, then time sequence,
and is based on research and copying of the Parish registers.
It is not a complete record. It consists of UK records published in 1992, most of the world in 1988. Some English counties are missing. Microfiche GW
