Researching family history is a favourite hobby for many people. The National Archives of Australia holds many records in which you might find information about your ancestors. This is the place to come if your family members served in the Australian armed forces or if they migrated to Australia during the 20th century. You can view original archival records in-house or access information and records online, so you can both prepare and undertake research from home. 2. The State Library of Victoria's Family History Feast on Monday August 3 2009
The Family History Feast is a day of free information sessions for family history researchers. The day includes the annual Victorian Association of Family History Organisations (VAFHO) Don Grant Lecture.
The annual event runs during National Family History Week and is organised by the Public Record Office Victoria; National Archives of Australia (Victorian office); Victorian Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages; and State Library of Victoria.
