The focus of this section of the Australian Greenhouse Office is what students
and schools can do to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at school. It provides
definitions, information and printable factsheets, a list of suggested actions,
a directory of internet resources, and an assignment checklist. (Suitable
for Years 9 and up)
Energex Switched On
This public information site created by Energex, an Australian energy company,
includes Energy Efficiency where users can use an energy calculator to calculate
how much everyday household items cost to run; Energy Efficient House which
provides a virtual tour through an energy efficient house; and Energy Efficient
Appliances which allows a search for energy efficient brands in the independent
list of products. The Kid Site for students contains experiments, games and
student project information about energy, electricity and solar energy.
