Monash Public Library Service has resumed limited services at all sites in line with physical distancing guidelines and State Government advice.

All branches are open from 10am-6pm Monday to Friday and 9am-4pm Saturdays except for Mulgrave which opens from 10am-5pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays 2pm-7pm and Thursdays 1.30pm-5pm. Libraries remain closed on Sundays until further notice.

We are limiting the number of customers in the library at any one time dependent on the available space at each branch and numerous cleaning and preventative measures have been implemented.

Public browsing of collections and limited studying in the library is now available.

Initially there are four main reasons to visit the library; to borrow items that have been reserved in advance (via phone or internet), ask a question, browse the collection and use a public access computer. Public access computers will be limited to a single 1 hour session per day.

All customers will be required to provide their name and phone number for possible contact tracing.

Each library has a concierge who will greet you on arrival and provide all the assistance and direction to complete your visit.

Glen Waverley Justice of the Peace service resumes each Wednesday. Clayton Library Justice of the Peace service resumes Thursday 2 July.

We are not yet able to deliver programs such as group classes and storytimes in our libraries but will continue to deliver programs online wherever possible including an online School Holiday Program.

We are committed to reintroducing services safely and are implementing a number of strategies to resume essential services while meeting health and safety requirements.
