School Holiday Program 2020

Special activities for children & teens aged 5-18 are run every school holiday.

The June - July holiday program is going online. You can view the activities at a time of your choosing! Playlists are published at the start of each week!

Week 1

  • Echidna Craft

Learn how to make an echidna sock puppet with just a few simple materials. For ages 5+.

  • Eco-Glitter Craft

Learn how to make your own eco-glitter! It's just as fun as regular glitter but won't harm the environment. For ages 5+ (adult help may be required).

  • Teddy Paper Craft

Make use of old newspapers you have at home and try this fun teddy themed paper craft! For ages 5+. Teddy Bear template (PDF, 362KB) .

  • Savoury Muffins

Yum! Emily will show you how to bake savoury muffins at home. You'll need a little help from an adult and you can switch out some of the ingredients if you have dietary requirements or allergies. Find the original recipe here.  For ages 6+ (adult help required)

  • Elmer Craft

Elmer is a well loved children's book character who is bright and colourful and learns how to be comfortable being different from his friends. Suzi will demonstrate how you can make a little Elmer of your own! For ages 5+ (adult help may be required).

  • Pom Pom Mobile

You'll want to hang this colourful mobile in your room and admire your handy work! Lisa will show you all the steps to help you make one of your very own. For ages 5+ (adult help required)

  • Fish Craft

Make a fish - or a whole school of fish - out of paper plates and other simple decorations! For ages 5+

  • Penguin Paper Craft

Let Lilian show you how to make this fun paper penguin! For ages 5+

  • Winter Sensory Activity

Get inspired by Wendy as she shows you how to make a winter themed sensory play activity. For ages 5+ (adult help required)

  • Unicorn Craft

Do you like unicorns? Who doesn't like unicorns! Let Jennifer inspire you to decorate your own unicorn templates. Try the Curly Unicorn (PDF, 37KB) or the Spikey Unicorn (PDF, 37KB). For ages 4+ (adult help may be required)

  • Pop Up Cards

Pop Up cards are really fun and easy to make yourself! Emily will show you how to make them and once you've got the hang of it, you can add your own characters, decorations and text! For ages 5+ (adult help may be required)

  • Python Paper Craft

Pythons are one of the largest snakes but unlike other snake species, they don't produce venom. Fun Fact! These paper pythons are definitely safe to handle and you can make them as long or short as you like! For ages 4+ (adult help may be required). Python paper craft template. (PDF, 446KB)
