International Bookmark Art Competition 

This a joint project in association with Guangzhou Library in China, Los Angeles County Public Library in U.S.A., Lyon Library in France, National Foreign Language Library in Russia, Yekaterinburg Mayor Library in Russia and Monash Public Library Service. Award-winning bookmarks will be displayed in the above mentioned libraries in succession. Terms and conditions of entry.

Chess Club for Kids

Do you like to play chess? Come along to our fortnightly chess club at Glen Waverley Library and take on the challenge!
You don’t have to attend each week so come and go as you please. More information.

Have fun with Lego Mindstorm sets.This program is facilitated by Robogals. this program will be returning in 2019.

For ages 7 - 12

Beginners sessions: 11am-12pm
Intermediate sessions: 12.30pm  - 1.30pm

*Children may book in for ONE either of beginners or intermediate sessions.

Engineers Without Borders program: Workshops for 7-12 years

Workshops for kids aged 7-12 years. The Monash University ‘Engineers Without Borders’ program is on again at Monash Public Libraries. Join us for fun, innovative and practical workshops full of hands on activities. Work as part of a team and be an engineer for the day!  Free. 

At Oakleigh Library on Tuesdays 4pm-5pm.

Young Writers' Group

Like to write? Are you aged 11 to 18? Join the Young Writers' Group at Mount Waverley library every second Thursday afternoon!

Author Melissa Gijsbers facilitates a casual and hands-on group that will encourage and expand your writing.

Time: Every second Thursday, 4-5pm
