Library Wi-Fi

eReaders & Tablets

Free computer and internet/Wi-Fi access is available at all our library branches. You must be a library member and be Internet authorised.

Mulgrave information and computer upgrades service impact is detailed below.

Members under 18 need to have their card internet authorised by their parent/guardian to gain access.

Visitors to the library can gain free access to the library computers and internet/Wi-Fi by being issued with an Online Access library card. Please speak to a staff member and bring some identification with you.

Mulgrave Library users have access to the Wellington Reserve Community Centre's computers. Wi-Fi access is available when the centre/library is open. There are several iPads available for customers to use within the library for accessing the internet (ID must be provided).

When using library computers, you must agree to the Internet Use Policy (PDF, 303KB) .

Conditions of Computer, Wi-Fi and Internet Use are available in other languages.

Our subscription databases such as ancestry.com, Find My Past, and MyHeritage can be accessed via the public PCs at all branches except Mulgrave.

PC Reservations

PC reservations are not essential however sometimes our PCs are in high demand so we recommend you book if you require access at a specific time. PC sessions are for 60 minutes with automatic extensions when available.

You can have up to 3 reservations at any one time. Reservations can be made up to a week in advance.

·         By phoning one of the library branches

·         In person by visiting  library branches

 

Library Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi (Wireless internet) access is available at all of our branches. Mulgrave library users will need to see staff for an access code.

During our computer upgrade please note that we have the following Wi-Fi services:

Library-Wifi: New Wi-Fi service now enabled at Glen Waverley, Wheelers Hill  and Clayton libraries.

MPLS-Wifi: This Wi-Fi service (at Mount Waverley) is no longer available due our computer equipment upgrade. Public Wifi is available at Oakleigh Library. We apologise for any inconvenience.

 

When connecting to library Wi-Fi network, you must agree to the Internet Use Policy.

For helpful advice about connecting, check the Wi-Fi access help. Power points are provided in study rooms and elsewhere, but we cannot guarantee power points being available for all users.

 

eReaders & Tablets

Mulgrave Library has iPads available for use in the library.

You can ask for help with your eReader or tablet at the Information Desk at any of our branches. You can also arrange for a personal lesson. Classes and demonstrations are also held and publicised in the Events pages.
