Suburban Rail Loop

Suburban Rail Loop East (SRL East) will connect our growing health, education, retail and employment precincts in Melbourne’s east and south east between Cheltenham and Box Hill.

Monash Council is included in the first stage of the project known as SRL East, from Cheltenham to Box Hill. Three stations are proposed in the City of Monash; The super hub at Clayton, a station north of Monash University and one in the Glen Waverley Activity Centre.

Upcoming Environmental Effects Statement (EES) Exhibition

The  Environmental Effects Statement (EES) for this project will be available for viewing at Glen Waverley Library from 8 November to 16 December 2021.

A Fact sheet will be available for community members.

You can access the digital EES and supporting information via the EES portal.

Monash Council Submission

Council is providing input to the Suburban Rail Loop Authority to ensure that the needs of the local community and businesses are being considered as part of this project. Two online information sessions will be held on Wednesday 10 November and Wednesday 17 November.

Make a submission

Submissions must be made in writing to Planning Panels Victoria and received by 11:59pm on Thursday 16 December 2021.
