Council adopted the Parklets on Roads Policy at its 28 February 2023 meeting.
The Policy supports eligible hospitality businesses to offer outdoor dining in locations that are ordinarily used as car parking spaces. This policy complements Council’s Footpath Trading and Access Policy.

At its meeting of 27 September 2022 (1.8 Outdoor Dining), Council adopted the Parklets on Roads Policy for a period of 6 months and directed officers to undertake consultation with traders about the policy seeking their feedback by or before 31 December 2022.
