A group of 60 Monash children aged 8-12 attended a creative children's animation workshop in July and learned the story of Bunjil through animation.

The workshop, facilitated by experienced animation artist Lotti Kershaw from Rock Paper Video, took place at the Wheelers Hill, Glen Waverley and Clayton libraries.

Children listened to Indigenous artist Heather Kennedy tell the tale of how Bunjil created the earth and then transformed into an eagle. The group were pleased to be given the opportunity to create and witness firsthand their Bunjil animation come to life on their iPads.

Participants were then invited to a private screening to view the final short film animation at the July Winter Concert on Sunday 22 July, at the Clayton Theatrette.
