There will understandably be some concern in the community about the news that there are new community transmission cases reported in Melbourne, with some exposure sites in Monash.

We are working closely with the businesses identified as they take all the necessary measures, including deep cleaning.

This is a rapidly evolving situation. We urge the public to follow the public health directives of the DHHS, stay up-to-date with news on case locations and outbreak sites, and to practice COVID Safe measures, including wearing a mask indoors, practising social distancing and good hand hygiene. If any symptoms occur get tested immediately and stay home until you receive your test result.

During 2020 our Monash community has pulled together to support each other and stay safe and I’ve no doubt this will continue in 2021.
