Monash businesses celebrating Masterclass Series success

Small business group showcase in October 2019

Business Victoria and Monash Council hosted the Local Events Program Graduation Showcase on the Tuesday 8 October 2019.

The graduation showcase celebrated the 38 businesses who completed the hands-on Business Planning for Growth and Online for Business Masterclass Series, where businesses attended a series of four master classes across a two month period.

The hands on Masterclass series encouraged design-led learning, bigger thinking and enabled action implementation throughout the learning process.

The Masterclass Series took attendees out of their comfort zones, allowing them to look at their businesses from a different view point. This enabled them to upskill, innovate, better service their customers, grow their customer base, enhance their profitability and focus on working on their business instead of in it.

Mayor Shane McCluskey congratulated the businesses for completing the masterclasses.

“Small businesses are an important part of our community and should be recognised for their contribution to the local and wider economy,” Cr McCluskey said.

Minister for Local Government and Small Business The Hon. Adem Somyurek, Member for Mount Waverley Matt Fregon, Monash Mayor Shane McCluskey and CEO Andi Diamond were in attendance to help the Masterclass Graduates celebrate their success.

Congratulations also to WithOneBean, who has been announced as a finalist for the 2019 Ethical Enterprise Award. Alice Mahar, Business Manager at WithOneBean, recently completed the Business Planning for Maximum Growth Masterclass series.
