Jacqueline Teh

Jacqueline is a shining example of triumph over adversity.

Jacqueline’s traumatic childhood resulted in her removal from her home and she spent her teenage years living in youth refuges and centres.

Her resilience, courage and determination saw Jacqueline achieve outstanding results at school despite many obstacles and she has gone on to study Science at University.

Jacqueline is a leader at the Holmesglen Youth Foyer, running study groups, tutoring and supporting others.

She is a leader within the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, and was a member of the Bendigo Community Bank Junior Observers Program where she worked on social programs on gambling, youth homelessness, alcohol and drugs and domestic violence. 

Jacqueline is a significant contributor to the Monash community, using her experiences for the betterment of others and is a very worthy winner of the Youth Leadership Award.
