Community Directory - Terms and Conditions

  • The Community Directory includes information about not-for-profit community organisations based in the City of Monash and servicing City of Monash residents.
  • Information about for-profit providers, commercial businesses and political organisations will not be included.
  • Information for inclusion in the Community Directory will only be accepted from a registered user representing an organisation.
  • The registered user representing an organisation must keep the information supplied to Council up to date, and must advise the City of Monash immediately they cease to represent the organisation.
  • Council may, at its sole discretion, refuse to publish material which is, in its opinion, racist, unlawful, threatening, abusive, indecent, defamatory or otherwise illegal.
  • Council reserves the right to approve, reject, edit or remove any listings at its sole discretion.
  • Community Directory listings are provided to Council by the registered user and the City of Monash takes no responsibility for any inaccuracies contained within these listings; and
  • Council does not accept any liability for any loss or damage incurred by the registered user or the organisation they represent as a result of the information listed on the website, or from any inability to access such information.

How to Create the Listing

To create a user account you must submit a valid email address. You will use this account to submit and maintain your listings using “MyCity” dashboard.

During the submission process, you will receive auto-generated emails, coming from Please check if this address is on your ‘safe sender’ list (your system may delete the emails or send them to junk mail folder).

When creating a listing, please be sure that you have the rights to use and distribute any supplied content and images. Consider copyright or ownership protected materials, which could breach applicable laws (defamation, privacy, trade practices, financial rules and regulations, fair use, trademarks).

Council will review your content before it will be published on our website. It may take up to 5 business days for Council to review and approve your web page.

After publishing your listing, you will receive review notifications every 6 months, automatically sent by the system.

If you would like to make changes to your listing, go to ‘Manage Pages’ section of your account.

Privacy Collection Statement

Monash City Council (“Council”) collects personal information via this registration form to process Community Directory requests and related purposes which the individual to whom the information relates may reasonably expect.

Council will not release or provide access to personal information to any other person or body, unless (a) it has been authorised to do so by the person to whom the information relates, (b) it is permitted or required to do so by law, or (c) it is appropriate or required in the performance of the functions of Council. If you refuse to supply the requested information, we may not be able to process your request.
