Wellington Community Centre - Exterior

Wellington Reserve Community Centre is home to the Mackie Road Neighbourhood House, Mulgrave Girl Guides and Mulgrave Scouts. The fully accessible, environmentally sustainable, and multi-functional centre offers the following for visitors:

  •  eCafé - members of the community can use the internet and tea and coffee facilities for a gold coin donation.
  • Multi-purpose hall - a large space which can also be hired - no parties. There is access to a modern kitchen from the hall via two serving windows.
  • Function built rooms - rooms can serve a range of purposes including classes, consulting and childcare. One room is fitted with computers, perfect for computer classes. Rooms are available to hire by community groups and organisations.
  • Community Garden – The Vege Patch.

Mackie Road Neighbourhood House

Mackie Road Neighbourhood House is a unique community based organisation striving to provide a diverse range of activities to support and enhance educational, health, recreational, self-esteem, and community interests.

Mulgrave Girl Guides

Girl Guides is about being creative, having fun, and learning new skills, in a safe and supportive environment.

They strive to enable girls and young women to grow into confident, self respecting, and responsible community members.

Mulgrave Girl Guides meets at Wellington Reserve Community Centre on:

  • Tuesdays, 7pm - 9pm for 11-14 year old
  • Thursdays, 6.30 - 8pm for 7-10 year old

Mulgrave Scout Group

The Mulgrave Scout Group has its home at the Wellington Reserve Community Centre (36-42 Mackie Rd, Mulgrave) and is led by the Group Leader Thinh Tran, Assistant Group Leader David Padfield and their Section Leaders. The Leaders at Mulgrave Scout Group are enthusiastic, fun and very experienced. The Mulgrave Scout Group has collected many awards from both Scouts Victoria and the local community, demonstrating the excellence of their Scouting programs.

Session Times (during school terms):

  • Joeys Scouts (5 to 8yrs) Monday 5.30 – 6.30pm
  • Cubs Scouts (8 to 11yrs) Monday 7 – 8.30pm
  • Scouts (11 to 15yrs) Wednesday 7 – 9.pm
  • Venturers/Rangers (14 to 18yrs) Friday 7 – 9pm
