At its meeting on 30 March 2021, Council formally adopted the Mount Waverley Activity Centre Structure Plan in accordance with the recommendations.

Council also resolved to prepare an information package that explains why we need a structure plan, its role in guiding the future of the centre, the process it went through and the next steps in the implementation. You can read this on Shape Monash

Consultation

Stage 2 – February / March 2020

Council sought community feedback on the Mount Waverley Activity Centre Draft Structure Plan(PDF, 10MB).

The consultation period ended on Friday 20 March 2020.

A total of 78 submissions and one petition containing 25 signatories (6 of which had also made separate submissions) were received, including 3 late submissions received after 20 March 2020. About 50 people also attended a drop-in information session at the Mount Waverley Community Centre. 

Stage 1 – May 2019

Council sought initial community feedback on the future of the Mount Waverley Activity Centre during May 2019 as outlined in a Discussion Paper(PDF, 2MB) . Your feedback has helped inform the development of the draft Structure Plan.

At its meeting on 28 January 2020 (agenda/decisions - item 1.2), Council resolved to release the draft Structure Plan for the Mount Waverley Activity Centre for community consultation.

At its meeting on 30 April 2019 (agenda/minutes – item 1.1), Council resolved to release a Discussion Paper for community consultation.
