Football Focus Melbourne – A soccer program for kids

Football Focus Melbourne

Active Monash is inviting Expressions of Interest from parents/carers of children aged 3-10 within the City of Monash, interested in being part of our upcoming partnership with Football Focus Melbourne and their program Football Focus. This program provides 3-10 year old children with the skills and confidence to participate their way.

This program is proudly sponsored by Active Communities and Monash Council.

Expressions of Interest are sought between Wednesday 1 June - Sunday 31 July 2022.

What is Active Communities?

Active Communities is the community activation arm of Active Monash, providing inclusive and sustainable pathways for the community to be more physically active in both structured and unstructured ways.

The program supports Council's priorities for enhancing the health, happiness and well-being of Monash community members; by offering increased opportunities for the community to participate in more physical activity, more often.

What is Football Focus?

The Football Focus program offers opportunities for youngsters to develop their technical ball skills, build confidence and work together. Fun and inclusive, Football Focus know the social interaction involved in the program is just as important as any one ball skill.

Children will learn how to interact and communicate in a social, stress-free environment, learning how to share, take turns, listen to instructions and work as a team. Football Focus is a strong advocate for building positive mental health and truly believe that sport has the power to change lives.

What’s Involved

We believe our community should have access to a broad range of high quality sport and community facilities so that everyone has the opportunity to lead an active, healthy lifestyle. This is why Football Focus will be fully subsidised by Monash Council, via the Active Communities program for 10 local children.

The program will launch for Term 3 on 11 July 2022 and will run for four weeks. All sessions will be held at Monash University - Clayton Campus and will run from 9.30am - 10.30am, on Saturdays. Future program dates will be released over the coming weeks.
