Model Railway Exhibition

Waverley Model Railway Club is pleased to announce the 2023 Model Railway Exhibition will be held on the King’s Birthday Weekend, June 10-12.

The 2023 Exhibition will again be at the Brandon Park Community Centre, 649 Ferntree Gully Road, Glen Waverley, behind the Fire Station and opposite the Brandon Park Shopping Centre.

On view will be model railway displays and layouts which showcase a wide variety of sizes and gauges, highlighting different types of rail operations in different countries. The layouts differ in their size and complexity and include a children's U-Drive where children can enjoy the opportunity to drive their own model train. Manufacturers of model Australian rollingstock will be present with their latest releases, as well as custom manufacturers of hard to obtain items. There will be modelling displays to demonstrate some of the techniques used in constructing some of the exhibits and experts will be on hand to answer questions and provide advice to those wishing to embark on the hobby or improve their skills, or perhaps become a member. A small layout, complete with locomotives and rollingstock will be raffled, with the lucky winner drawn at the close of the exhibition.
