Freeway Reserve

Freeway Reserve - Waverley Archers 2

Fancy an outdoors park with exercise stations to help kick start the new healthy you? At Freeway Reserve, you can walk or run along the track, or do sit-ups, chin-ups, push-ups and other exercises on the outdoor fitness hub equipment.

There is also a playground to keep the kids entertained, and a dog off-leash area.

Dogs are not permitted on the sportsgrounds or archery range when organised sport events and training are in progress.

Dogs must still be under effective control in off-leash areas (see green area in map below).

More information at Dog Off-Leash Areas.

An archery field provides plenty of room for target practise with the Waverley City Archers. The Brandon Park Soccer Club uses soccer pitches in winter, and a variety of cricket clubs use two ovals for cricket in summer. The reserve has a social pavilion used by the Armenian Sahagian Community. Freeway Reserve is also a host to the 'Fitness by the Freeway' track.

Masterplan

You can read the Masterplan for Freeway Reserve, adopted at the 31 May 2016 Council meeting. The Masterplan proposes the future vision for the reserve and sets out proposed works and projects to achieve that vision.
