Gardiners Reserve

Gardiners Reserve is a large park that runs next to the Gardiners Creek Trail in Burwood, with plenty of space for people to exercise, and a dog off-leash area for pooches.

As of 1 July 2023, dogs are allowed off-leash in the reserve except in the following areas (see map below), where no dogs are permitted:

-   synthetic pitch (at any time)
-   southern-most turf pitch (at any time)
-   the area surrounding the southern-most turf pitch (up to two hours before the start of a National Premier League Victoria game and the end of that game).

Dogs are not permitted on the northern pitch when organised sport events and training are in progress.

Dogs must be on-leash 10m either side of the Gardiners Creek Trail, and must be under effective control in off-leash areas.

The reserve has 3 soccer pitches and 2 sporting pavilions, and also has a playspace, which is closest to the Octavia Court entry.

The playspace was upgraded in 2022 and now boasts a sensory exploration area, play sculpture, spinner, musical elements and talk tubes, adventure rope course. triple swing set, and a ‘bird house’ combination play unit.
