We are pleased to offer children who are sensitive to high sensory environments, a customised Santa experience that caters to each child’s unique needs. Children with autism spectrum disorder, social anxiety or other neurodivergence are welcome.
To help prepare your child for their visit with Santa, please share our Christmas social story(PDF, 6MB) with them. The social story uses photos and words to describe what to expect from your visit. You can download it here(PDF, 6MB) or ask staff for a copy.
Children and their parents/carers can:
- Book a private 20-minute timeslot with Santa.
- Choose what happens when they meet Santa, including whether or not they chat, or make physical contact. Each individual session will be carefully planned.
- Bring a camera if they wish to have their photo taken with Santa.
- Expect a quiet environment, free from bright lights and loud sounds.
- Let us know in advance of any additional needs or interests that we can try to accommodate. Our experienced Santa will be responsive to a range of children's requirements.
- Enjoy receiving a special gift from Santa.
