Monash Library App

Overview

Monash Public Library Service now has a fully mobile responsive app. Download and install the Monash Library App, then use on your mobile device.

The Monash Library App allows you to:

• Search your library catalogue
• Reserve items online
• Borrow items using your mobile device
• Use a digital library card
• View library events and info
• Reset your library password
• Book a study room

My Account

To Renew an item:

• Tap My Account on the home screen
• Tap Loans
• Tap an item and Renew or Renew All
• Overdue items can only be renewed by library staff
• Please note that eligible items will automatically be renewed two days prior to the due date. Please check your account to see what could not be auto-renewed.

   

   

Borrow an Item

• Tap Borrow Items or Self-check on the home screen
• Tap Checkout
• Scan the barcode (for books, this is inside the back cover or on the front of the book)
• You will receive a message stating that the check out was successful

Reserve an Item

• Tap in the Search Catalogue area at the top of the home screen
• Tap on the item you wish to reserve
• Tap Place Hold

• Tap Place Hold again to confirm

You can change the pickup location or cancel the hold by selecting the item in My Account > Holds.

Using Your Digital Library Card

• Tap My Barcode on the home screen

• Scan your barcode to borrow, print or load funds to your library account or add it to your phone's wallet

Troubleshooting

If you are having problems logging into the app or any other issues, please uninstall and reinstall the app in the first instance.  If you are using an Apple device, please ensure that you have the latest IOS update before you reinstall the app.

When reporting an issue to staff, please provide the following information (if possible):

• Library card number
• Device type (eg Android phone, iPad etc)
• Make and model (eg Samsung S21)
• Operating system version (Android or IOS version)
