A Justice of the Peace is available to certify and witness documents at Wheelers Hill Library on Wednesdays and Clayton Library on Thursdays.

Details:

  • The Justice of the Peace Service is staffed by volunteers. 
  •  Prior to attending, please always check this page for information about absences, changes or additional sessions. 
  • Sessions may be cancelled at short notice due to unavailability of the Justice of the Peace or library service restrictions.
  • No appointment necessary
  • Please bring your own pen
  • There may be limits on the number of documents that can be signed. This is at the discretion of the Justice of the Peace.
  • If you are unable to attend one of our sessions you can search for a Justice of the Peace nearby.

 

What can a Justice of the Peace help with?

  • Attesting to the execution of a document.
  • Witnessing a Statutory Declaration.
  • Witnessing an affidavit for use in court.
  • Certifying true copies of a document.
  • Certifying a person’s identity.
