We’re building a bigger, better Glen Waverley Library!

An exciting new chapter has begun with early works underway for Council’s $110 million Glen Waverley Civic Precinct Project.

The project will deliver a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art Glen Waverley Library, featuring modern shared spaces designed to support learning, creativity and community connection.

Library members and users can continue to access library services until the site is decanted around mid‑2026 to two temporary locations nearby:

Glen Waverley Library Express - 173 Coleman Parade, Glen Waverley

  • Reduced adult collection.
  • Express drop off /collection with self-checkout via Monash Library app.
  • Events, programs, and Storytime relocated to nearby branches.
  • Reduced public computers.

Glen Waverley Children’s Library - Black Flat Community Hall, 685 Waverley Road, Glen Waverley

  • Dedicated space for children’s collection.
  • Regular browsing, borrowing, and storytime programming.
  • No public computers.

We know temporarily relocating our Glen Waverley Library will cause some disruption, but we are committed to delivering essential library services to our community, particularly for our most vulnerable users.

It is an exciting time as we work together to deliver a bigger, better library for the Glen Waverley community.
