Yoshi has contributed to the Ashwood and Chadstone area, by starting a LGBTIQA+ Connection group at the Power Neighbourhood House in Ashwood.
The group was created as a safe space for LGBTIQA+ people, friends and allies, in the age bracket of 40 and over, to come together and make new social connections.
While the group has started small, it shows Yoshi’s determination to create a positive and inclusive space for Monash LGBTIQA+ communities in an older demographic.
Yoshi was selected to join Council’s LGBTIQA+ Advisory Committee, where he was able to meaningfully contribute to the continued progression of Monash as a safe and inclusive city.
