It's time to switch: Green lid bins (food and garden waste) are collected weekly from August and red landfill bins every fortnight, to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
Due to COVID-19 impacts and winter illnesses, Monash Maternal and Child Health are experiencing extreme staff shortages. Children booked between 10.08.2022 – 28.08.2022 for their 18m, 2y and 3.5yr Key Age and Stage will be contacted by our service to be rescheduled for September. If you find a lost animal that is wearing a City of Monash registration tag, write down the tag number and call Council on 9518 3555 (including after-hours and on weekends). We will find the owner for you to contact.
Our rangers take lost animals to the pound at the RSPCA.
If you have lost an animal, call the RSPCA on 9224 2222 and call Council's Animal Management Department on 9518 3555 to leave your details. If someone finds your animal, we will call you.

If you do not live in Monash but find a Monash-registered dog in your suburb and cannot contact the owner, please ask your local council to collect the dog.
Monash animal management officers can only collect animals in Monash, and do not work in other council areas.

The RSPCA manages our pound for cats, dogs and livestock and our after-hours service.
