The containers are free.

If you find a needle or syringe:

  • Do not panic.
  • Do not touch the sharp point with your fingers or hands. Do not break it.
  • Either contact us to pick it up, or take it to a disposal unit (as listed above). You can also get a syringe disposal container from us.
  • If you cannot do that, find a container with a well-secured lid. Rigid plastic containers are the best. Avoid using glass or aluminium cans.
  • Use tongs to pick up needles or syringes, otherwise, pick them up by the barrel, then put needle first into the container.
  • Do not put the cap on it if it has fallen off.
  • Make sure the container is tightly sealed.
