Damaged bin

If your landfill (red lid), recycling or food and garden waste bin is damaged, let us know so we can repair or replace it.

If your bin is damaged, in most circumstances it will be replaced or repaired for free.

But if the damage results from intentional misuse, Council may charge you for the cost of repair or replacement.

If your Kitchen Caddy has been damaged, please use general online request form or call 9518 3555 (we are working on including this request in the below direct reporting).

Once you have reported a damaged bin, put it on the nature strip and leave it empty, where possible.

If we are unable to fix or replace your bin at the time, a note will be left in your letterbox advising of next steps.

We aim to attend to your request in 1-5 business days*. If you haven’t heard anything after 5 business days, please call 9518 3555.

Please note: If we need to replace your bin, the replacement may not be brand new. We try to reuse bins that are in clean, working condition. These bins are cleaned and sanitised prior to delivery.
