Monash Recycling & Waste Centre

Monash Waste Transfer Centre

The Recycling & Waste Centre (formerly Waste Transfer Station) is located at 380 Ferntree Gully Rd, Notting Hill. Phone: 9518 3555.

It is closed on some public holidays including: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and before noon on Anzac Day.

For staff and customer safety, the Recycling & Waste Centre may temporarily close to the public during extreme weather conditions.

Click here for information on disposing storm related waste following Tuesday 13 February.

The Recycling & Waste Centre is open to all customers (trade and residential) from 7.30am-3pm every day, including Sundays.

We have very limited capacity to accept soil until further notice. Please call ahead of your visit to ensure collection is available. We will update this page when collection resumes.

We are now accepting soft plastics for recycling for Monash residents. Please follow the signs at the Centre for instructions to the collection point.

Smaller drop-off points at Monash Civic Centre and Oakleigh Service Centre are also available to Monash residents. Due to the smaller capacity of the drop-off points, there is a limit of 1 bag of soft plastics per visit.
