It's time to switch: Green lid bins (food and garden waste) are collected weekly from August and red landfill bins every fortnight, to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
Due to COVID-19 impacts and winter illnesses, Monash Maternal and Child Health are experiencing extreme staff shortages. Children booked between 10.08.2022 – 28.08.2022 for their 18m, 2y and 3.5yr Key Age and Stage will be contacted by our service to be rescheduled for September. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.
Due to COVID staff shortages, between 12.30pm-2pm until the end of August, calls will be directed to our after-hours service for follow-up. Thank you for your understanding.
Council regularly upgrades local facilities (including bike paths, playspaces and sporting pavilions) and leads several community projects to improve the liveability of Monash for the community.
These works are funded by Council, with additional funding at times from State and/or Federal Governments.
Council’s 2020/21 budget includes a $46.2 million (new and carry forward projects) Capital Works Program. The Capital Works Program focuses on core services such as drainage, footpaths, road and waste improvements identified by the Monash community as important upgrades. The impact of COVID-19 and a delay of the Montclair car park project saw the total Capital Works funding decreased by $18.7 million compared to the 2019/20 forecast budget.
