Caloola Reserve pavilion

Construction of new synthetic tennis courts at Caloola Reserve is now complete.

Stage 1 of works, with an overall project cost of approximately $1.7 million, includes:

  • Tree removals/earthworks and pavilion demolition
  • Installation of concrete base with synthetic grass surface 
  • Drainage and civil works 
  • LED low height pole to minimise light spill to nearby residents
  • Fencing
  • Construction of a concrete path along the north side of the courts with seating and shelters
  • Landscape upgrades and planting (to be carried out by Council).

The new synthetic tennis courts are stage 1 of the major redevelopment of Caloola Reserve. A new multi-purpose pavilion at Caloola Reserve was completed in 2020 as part of stage 2 works.

The $3.5 million two-stage project was funded by Monash Council with a State Government contribution of $800,000 through the Sports and Recreation Victoria Community Sports Infrastructure Fund 2019-20 - Major Facilities category.
