Over 7000 people attended the 2024 Clayton Festival. The weather was great with a crowd eagerly waiting for the gates to open!

The free Paw Patrol show, face painters and food stalls were all very popular. There were over 20 community stalls who had free craft activities, art displays, giveaways and information about their programs & services for the community to enjoy.

There are lots of FREE activities happening with something to suit everyone!

Outside the whole family can enjoy activities that include circus play, Waverley Woodworkers, Disco InFlato, Chair-o-plane, Magical Creatures Storytime, as well as our wildlife exposure, youth photo booth, kinder playground, rock climbing and facepainting.

Inside get involved as Clayton Library hosts stained glass making and a kids photobooth or enjoy FREE pool entry between 1pm - 5.30pm thanks to the Clayton Aquatic and Health Club.

Our courtyard activities include fun with the SlowArt Collective, a kinder block party, mosaic scape and chalk tables.

We also have roving entertainers including hula hoopers, jugglers, crazy adagio, fairies and a dragon tamer.

Festival information

What should I bring?

Bring sunscreen, hat, and water bottle, which can be refilled at on site water fountains.  

Don’t forget your swimmers to ‘cool down’. Thank you to Clayton Aquatic and Health Club who are offering FREE pool entry between 1pm – 5.30pm.  

Getting to the event

Clayton Railway Station is located less than 5 minutes' walk from festival location at Cooke Street, Clayton. There are also several buses which travel to the Clayton SC/Clayton Road bus stop. Go to to plan your journey.

Please note: Clayton Community Centre Car Park will be closed from Saturday 7pm until Sunday 8pm approx. There is limited street parking available between Cooke Street and Clayton Road during the festival. 

If driving, please observe traffic management controls and standard parking restrictions. 

What food is available?

There will be a variety of snacks, deserts and hot food at the event including a variety of healthy choices.

Choose from a BBQ, Chinese cuisine, calamari, hot chips, toasties, bagels, ricotta rolls, potato twists, fairy floss, donuts, sugarcane juice and ice cream.

Clayton Festival is also located adjacent to Clayton Road, the area’s mecca for a variety of authentic restaurants and bars.
