As part of our Cultural Diversity Week celebrations, we are hosting a FREE community event that invites special guest speakers to share their cultural stories and experiences with the broader Monash community.

We invite you to come along and share cultural stories, experiences of migration and personal perspectives of people living in Monash.

Cultural Diversity Week 2024

Cultural Diversity Week, from Monday 18 March to Sunday 24 March 2024, is a time to celebrate the many cultures that make Monash a great place to live, work and study.

This year’s theme, “Our Shared Stories: Celebrating Together,” encourages us to celebrate the many experiences that we share across cultures, and embrace the differences that help us to build a stronger and more interesting place to live in.

More than 50% of Monash residents were born overseas, coming from around 106 countries. Whether you are first nations, your family has been here for generations, your parents migrated here, or you arrived here from overseas, we all bring with us stories of our journeys and cultures.

During this week we encourage you to explore those cultural things in our community, like our love of food, how we celebrate our heritage, culture and faiths, or our experiences of migration.
