This event is to mark IDAHOBIT (International Day Against LGBTIQA+ Discrimination).

About the workshop

This workshop with delsi empowers participants with knowledge on how to foster more inclusive approaches or be better allies to LGBTIQA+ communities.

Topics covered include:

• A better understanding of LGBTIQA+ language and definitions
• Mental health among LGBTIQA+ communities
• Strategies for improving accessibility and inclusion in your workplace or social settings
• A list of resources to continue your educational journey.

Please note some sensitive content around LGBTIQA+ mental health statistics will be discussed in the workshop. Recommended for ages 16 and up.

Who will be facilitating the class?

delsi (she/they) is a qualified Secondary and Adult education teacher and a proud member of the queer community. She is also the owner of the LGBTQIA+ organisation Unicorns, which she developed 11 years ago to address the gap in safe and celebratory spaces for the whole of the community.
