Friends of Dandenong Valley Parklands Community Gardening, 2 June 2024

You’re invited to participate in community gardening with the Friends of Dandenong Valley Parklands in their Indigenous and Australian Gardens.

Activities include hand-weeding (kneeling), raking leaves, lifting and carrying bags of weeds to collection point, filling wheelbarrows with mulch and wheeling them to designated areas, raking mulch between plants.

Wear: long pants, shirt or jumper with long sleeves, sturdy shoes or boots, rainproof jacket if raining.

Bring: gardening gloves, water bottle and leaf rakes or hand weeders if you have them.

Physical activity: involves weeding, kneeling, raking, carrying and lifting.

Bookings: If people are registered with ParkConnect, they should use that site. If people are not registered with ParkConnect, then please email dandenongvalleyfriends@gmail.com and state the number of people coming and provide a name and contact number.
