The design for a mixed-use, multi-level car park in the heart of Glen Waverley is underway as part of Council’s long-term vision to revitalise Kingsway and the Glen Waverley Activity Precinct.

At the August meeting, Council awarded the detailed design of the car park at 31-39 Montclair Avenue to Warren and Mahoney Architects Australia Pty Limited. The new car park will provide a minimum of 1,004 spaces, including 499 new car parks.

The project will also include the removal of 99 car parks from Kingsway to allow for more outdoor dining and to remove traffic congestion from Kingsway. These car spaces will be incorporated in the new multi-use car park.

The construction of the car park will help meet existing and future demands for parking and build on the precinct’s reputation as a dining destination.

The community will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the detailed design later in the year.
