It's time to switch: Green lid bins (food and garden waste) are collected weekly from August and red landfill bins every fortnight, to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
Due to Public Holidays (Thursday and Friday), calls will be directed to our after-hours service for follow-up from 5.15pm on Wednesday 21 September to 8.15am on Monday 26 September. Thank you for your understanding.
Bollards have been installed at the three intersections of Eaton Mall in Oakleigh at Chester and Portman Streets and Atherton Road to improve pedestrian safety and deter vehicle entry, including motorbikes. Eaton Mall is one of Monash’s busiest destinations, attracting not only locals but people from all over Melbourne and beyond who come to enjoy the cosmopolitan foodie atmosphere. These bollards are a measure to safeguard visitors and the enjoyment of this popular precinct.
The bollards are part of Council’s more than $5.8 million into reconstruction and streetscape works on Atherton Road and surrounds.
