We have provided funding to the Monash Men’s Shed through the Community Grants program for many years – both in cash and in-kind use of the recently renovated Bogong Hall in Glen Waverley.

Council is delighted to support the work of the Monash Men’s Shed, as we are with the other community groups we provide grants to as part of our Community Grants Program, which in 2019-20 funded $2.5M.

There’s more focus now than ever before on mental health and the impact of loneliness on people. The Monash Men’s Shed is a fantastic group that encourages community connectedness and an opportunity for men to get together, and talk if they want to, improves health and wellbeing and encourages men to use and share their skills and learn new ones too.
