Positive Ageing Leadership

Criteria

This award recognises the work an individual does to assist others in the community, in addition to having a positive attitude towards ageing.

Council wishes to formally acknowledge the many seniors who live, work and play in Monash and volunteer their time to help and inspire others, be it on a one-to-one basis or as a member of a group.

To be eligible for this award, nominees will:

  • Be at least 60 years old as of 1 July in the year of nomination
  • Be an Australian resident living, working or participating on a regular basis in activities within the City of Monash
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude to ageing
  • Give of their time to make a difference to another person or community group in the Monash community
  • Be involved in voluntary activities that benefit the community
