After the application was publicly advertised, the Permit applicant formally requested to submit amended plans attempting to address the concerns raised by Council officers before the application was to be determined.

However, the applicant failed to submit the amended plans within the prescribed timeframe, and the application has now lapsed and will not proceed.

No decision will be made on this application.

Background

Council sought community feedback on the proposed development of a 4-storey residential apartment building and 10 4-storey townhouses, with a food and drink premises.

The applicant, Eternal Huntingdale Pty Ltd, proposed a $21.4 million development that included:

  • Construction of a 4-storey apartment building, 10 x 4-storey townhouses and a food and drink premises
  • A total of 60 apartment dwellings including:
    • 13 x 1-bedroom
    • 47 x 2-bedroom
  • A food and drink premises located on the ground level of the apartment building
  • Townhouses to be constructed in the first stage, and the apartment building in the second stage
  • Each townhouse provided with 1 to 2 car parking spaces within individual garages
  • A total of 61 car spaces that are required for the apartment dwellings and food and drink premises, and 62 car spaces that are provided within the development
  • A total of 20 car spaces is required for the townhouses and 16 car spaces are provided. The proposal seeks to reduce 4 car spaces for townhouses 2, 4, 6 & 8
  • Vehicle access via Berkeley and Ross Streets
  • Existing remaining vehicle crossovers to be removed.
