Gardiners Creek Trail (Shared Path)

The Gardiners Creek Trail is an off-road shared pathway. It follows Gardiners Creek through Melbourne's eastern suburbs. The trail links the Blackburn Lakes to the Main Yarra Trail in Burnley.

The 20km off-road section of the trail starts at Blackburn Road just north of Heath Street, Blackburn. It passes through the Blackburn Creeklands Reserve, Gardiners Creek Reserve and a local history park before crossing into Monash at Highbury Road.

The trail passes through beautiful wetland areas where you can find ducks, birds and frogs. You will also travel through Gardiners, Ashwood, Jingella and Holmesglen reserves where a number of local sports grounds are located. The trail heads out of the municipality at the Warrigal Road underpass. It follows the creek and Monash Freeway/Citylink through various parks and reserves until it crosses the Yarra River to meet the Main Yarra Trail to the city.
