Council Meetings Schedule

The next monthly meeting of Council will be held at the Monash Civic Centre (293 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley) on Tuesday 30 April 2024, from 7pm.

The meeting's agenda (and associated reports) will be made available from 5.30pm on Wednesday 24 April at Agendas and Minutes.

2024 Meeting Dates

The schedule for the Meetings of Council 2024, is as follows, with the meetings to commence at 7pm and to be held in the Civic Centre, Glen Waverley:

  • 24 September 
  • 29 October 
  • 12 November*  
  • 26 November 
  • 10 December 

*Proposed meeting for swearing in of the new Council for 2024-2028 and the election of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor. 

About the Meetings

All Councillors attend Council meetings. The Chief Executive Officer and members of the Executive Leadership Team also attend the meetings, to provide information or advice when called upon by Council.

Regular meetings are held on the last Tuesday in every month, unless that Tuesday falls on a public holiday and in December, where the meeting is held in the middle of the month, to avoid clashing with the Christmas holiday period.

Additional, unscheduled meetings of Council are also held occasionally, for matters such as the election of the Mayor or to consider matters of an urgent nature that cannot wait until the next scheduled of Council.
