Val Murray

Val has spent the past thirty years volunteering at Bestchance in many different roles that have supported local families to have a ‘better chance at life’.  Val has given up countless hours to create lasting change in the lives of children and their parents.

She has been an active member of the Community Support volunteer team and her role has changed significantly over the years and she has adapted well to the changes. The contribution of this volunteer team allows for a focus on supporting programs run by Bestchance from our Glen Waverley site.

Some of the many projects Val has been involved over the years are Christmas hampers toys to local families in need, a casserole roster to provide meals for new parents, creating handmade clothing and toys for children of families receiving a service from Bestchance. Val is a ‘quiet achiever’ and was nominated for all that she has contributed to Monash and her unwavering support for others.
