Sithy Marikar

Sithy is the president of the Monash Interfaith Group and has led the group in organising a range of functions, including the Harmony Dinner and Youth Forum.

She has also supported the local community through her volunteering with United Sri Lankan Muslim Association of Australia and the Victorian Council of Churches, while she has also supported the Eid Dinner with the African Women and Families Network and SAWNA.

She was a member of the Monash Council Multicultural Advisory Committee for two terms and was instrumental in getting Council to add halal Meals on Wheels to Monash residents, as well as the introduction of a silent room at the Council office for people of all faiths to use.
